Part of a substantial group, our client is a highly successful niche manufacturer and supplier of lighting equipment and systems solutions (or electronics/electrical equipment and systems solutions) for a broad customer base.

These are exciting times to be joining this organisation; growth is very much on the agenda with a key focus on exploiting export markets and this is being backed up with substantial investment in New Product Development and significant expansion of their manufacturing/design footprint.

Due to these ambitious growth plans for the site and the business as a whole, we now seek the appointment of high calibre Project Manager to tackle this exciting new role.

Responsibilities;

- You will be responsible for driving and co-ordinating the deliverables for a number of high impact initiatives ranging from product implementation projects through to major full scale New Product Development activities, to enable the business to maintain their competitive technical advantage.

- Operating as a Project Champion, you will pull together a multi functional team, within a matrix function and will lead projects throughout the product life cycle, managing risk and ensuring that all cost, quality and timing objectives are met and ideally surpassed.

- To ensure that the very best and most appropriate project management techniques are utilised in terms of detailed planning, milestone identification/delivery and quantitative risk assessment and evaluation.

- Financial control of all projects including the establishment of "gateway" systems and accountability for all financial targets, budgets, cashflow, investment and ensure variances are minimised.

- This exciting role demands progressive individuals who can pull together all the key elements of first class project management whilst leading from the front and driving change.

- Of graduate calibre, you will have a strong background gained in Project/Programme Management within a progressive manufacturing/design environment, where you will ideally have been exposed to complex and challenging new product development projects.

- You will understand best practice project management tools and techniques i.e. Design for Six Sigma, DFMEA, PFMEA, Control Plans etc.

- Your expertise is likely to have been gained in mechanical and/or electrical/electronics products/systems and as such it is likely that you will be working within a dynamic ‘world class’ environment (i.e. automotive, telecoms, lighting, HVAC, pumps, FMCG, general engineering etc).

- Self-disciplined and highly results orientated, you will be the type who can cajole and influence those around you whilst having a strong convincing style to drive sustainable change. Furthermore, you will relish the opportunity to genuinely influence the business whilst developing your career within a market leading organisation.
