This Systems Operations Engineer role with Equifax is just what you are looking for. A global leader in ‘big data’, we leverage one of the largest sources of consumer and commercial data in the UK. We want you to be part of the team providing the technical expertise needed to support day-to-day network and desktop operations. Initially based in Bradford in March 2016 the team will move to a state of the art purpose built office in the heart of Leeds.

Systems Operations Engineer - The Role

An ambassador for End User Computing services and IT you will develop strong working relationships with internal and external providers as well as VIP customers. You will address user related issues and provide high quality tech support for a range of Desktop, LAN and WAN technologies. You will cover our Leeds, Ireland, and UK offices as well support executive home users. Day-to-day you will maintain network security and integrity and perform new hire installs, exits, replacements, upgrades, printer installs and other hardware/software related tasks. As well as leading efforts to maintain a rapidly growing network topology you will also ensure the technology continues to meet the needs of an evolving business requirements. This will involve making sure support arrangements with existing and new service providers continues to meet business needs

Systems Operations Engineer - Key Experience

You must have a very strong understanding of all Desktop, core LAN and WAN networking concepts, experience in instrumenting and monitoring network devices along with knowledge of advanced and leading edge networking technologies. Having worked in a Desktop support environment you will have good knowledge of routing/switching (VSS, NX-iOS, iOs). You must also have expertise in working with routing protocols such as BGP, OSPF, and MPLS. In addition you will have knowledge of firewalls (Cisco ASA, Juniper, Check Point), analysing PCAPs an(i.e. Wire Shark) and enterprise wireless support (Cisco, Aruba).

Highly organised you will have provided VIP support and are good at prioritising and working under pressure. You will possess strong communication and analytical skills and are flexible to travel, potentially at short notice, as the business requires.
