Our Technology Analyst Program offers opportunities within the following areas:

Global Markets Technology

Our Global Markets Technology (GMT) division provides technology and operations solutions and support for the equities, electronic trading, rates and currencies, credit and structured products, commodities, sales and capital markets, and research businesses. As an analyst, you will be exposed to a broad range of technologies covering many diverse environments with the opportunity to work across all aspects of the software development lifecycle.

Join a development technology team that will challenge you to deliver and input solutions, creating or extending one of the many in-house software applications. These operate complex trading systems using languages such as Java, C++, .NET and Python to power and improve our business. In today’s market it is technology that turns trading strategy into a trading profit, putting us ahead of our competitors.

Technology Infrastructure

Technology Infrastructure (TI) meets the needs of Bank of America Merrill Lynch’s clients and employees by working alongside development technology teams to design, implement and support cutting-edge applications and infrastructure. Our TI teams provide tools, applications and services such as network, compute capacity, enterprise storage and databases used to host trading applications, payment systems, mobile applications and other end-user applications.

As an analyst, your day to day tasks would range from the design of infrastructure used by multiple lines of business, to supporting the design and implementation of our next generation data-centres or developing mobile solutions to enable our employees to work effectively in geographically diverse locations. Your role will give you the opportunity to take responsibility for the deployment and support of core infrastructure that underpins the company’s daily operations and give you the unique ability to work on one of the largest open trading floors in Europe.

Enterprise Change Information Officer

The Enterprise Change Information Officer (ECIO) team is responsible for providing end-to-end technology and change management support to enterprise functions for Bank of America Merrill Lynch including Chief Financial Officer, Global Human Resources, Global Marketing and Corporate Affairs, Global Corporate Services, Legal, Compliance, Audit and Regulatory Relations. The team also manages and delivers critical enterprise control functions such as Enterprise Data Management and Architecture, Enterprise Change and Divestitures, and manages the execution of New BAC initiatives across GT&O.

As an analyst you will provide technical excellence to design, develop and maintain state-of-the-art technology applications, be responsible for internal and external client requirements gathering and developing and testing algorithms to solve complex business problems

What we look for

Strong academic qualifications and quantitative skills are important for success in our analyst programmes. Equally important are initiative, strategic and creative thinking, good communication skills and a genuine interest in technology.
