The Role

The Business Systems Manager (eCommerce) is a key role within our Commercial Systems team. The Commercial Systems team is responsible for all of the systems that drive revenue generation across the business. We support all aspects of selling and servicing our customers' needs. This includes our eCommerce systems; the website and mobile platforms, and the airline reservation management systems that underpin the eCommerce. We are a tight knit team of professionals, working seamlessly with our colleagues in the Marketing and Commercial business functions in a fast paced, competitive environment. This is an exciting time to join easyJet. We are currently embarked upon an ambitious and innovative transformation; the Future Commercial Platform (FCP). This strategic programme aims to replace our legacy commercial systems with a leading-edge eCommerce platform upon which we will base our future success. The new platform will enable our commercial and marketing teams to quickly reconfigure the customer offer through multiple channels, introduce new products and personalise the customer experience without need for major IT involvement. And for our customers, it will support a more inspirational and personalised experience across all of our channels, making it as easy and intuitive as possible for them to meet their travel needs.

The Business Systems Manager (eCommerce) will be accountable for the successful delivery of our selected eCommerce platform. We have selected hybris as our future eCommerce platform and are entering into the Build phase of this strategic programme, working with an accredited hybris partner.

Job Purpose

This role is responsible for leading the end-to-end delivery of the new eCommerce platform and the subsequent evolution of that platform in years to come

Key skills

- Proven track record of successfully delivering high transaction volume, enterprise-wide eCommerce solutions for major blue-chip organisations

- Demonstrable experience of Project Management and delivery within a large-scale programmes with an impeccable track record of delivering high quality solutions on time and to budget

- Experience of Inspirational leadership capability with experience of building and motivating high performing teams to deliver advanced eCommerce solutions

- The ability to form strong, mutual and professional business relationships with external partners and suppliers and track record of driving performance and value from supplier organisations

- Managing eCommerce programmes with budgets in excess of £10M+

- Broad understanding of eCommerce solutions and architectures

- Adeptness of using innovative technology platforms within large-scale programmes to create an innovative "End User experience"

- Ability of change, effect and continuity throughout business processes by using a variety of channels (I.e. Mobile, Web, Vendor management)

- Experience partnering with the commercial, sales, marketing and service functions within a major customer facing organisation.

- Is an exceptional team player, who can complement other talents and skills to deliver team success

- Knowledge and experience of integrating package based systems into complex environments

- A good knowledge and understanding of total cost of ownership of IT assets and functions and the ability to present and manage trade-offs

- Experience of implementing Custom Management Systems with eCommerce solution programmes
