We're opening a brand new office in Old Street and we're looking for experienced Hadoop developers who share our passion for shiny new tech, groundbreaking ideas and collaborative working. You'll ensure our business intelligence and use of big data is up there with the best in the world. That could mean helping with architecture, as well as maintaining Hadoop environments including production, development, testing and failover. We'll look to you to innovate and learn together with your team, and to make a real difference to our business.

What will it take?

You'll be a bit of a guru, ready to inspire and mentor others in the ways of big data. That means epic levels of know-how in building and maintaining Hadoop clusters. You'll have been up close and personal with tools like Spark, Pig, MapReduce and Hive, and will have a sound understanding of areas such as test-driven development (TDD), object oriented (OO) principles, data mining, cloud solutions and Transact-SQL. Experience of Agile or Lean methodologies is crucial.
