The Role:
This role is for a one year research intern position at Music Group Manchester R&D office.
This is an excellent opportunity for talented graduates, passionate about audio technology, who want a hands on introduction in the professional audio industry and have the opportunity to work in an industry leading pro audio company.
The key responsibility for this role is to work with the research team on proof of concept projects and to develop software prototypes for new signal processing technologies to be used in the next generation of professional audio products.
The ideal candidate is a graduate student, with a degree in media technology, computer science, electronic engineering or equivalent titles, who has a background in signal processing and is passionate about sound design.
Key Responsibilities:
Investigate state of the art audio scientific literature
Evaluate the feasibility and effectiveness of new processing algorithms
Develop working prototypes of new audio algorithm in the form of VST/AU plugins
Work with the research team to propose innovative solutions
Requirements:
Creative thinking
Strong passion for audio technology
Good knowledge of sound recording and mixing tools and techniques
Good knowledge of signal processing theory
Programming background (C++ or other object oriented languages)
Good understanding of acoustics and psychoacoustics
