Chess, one of the UK’s fastest growing telecommunication and IT companies, is looking for an experienced and diligent person to manage our Quality and Compliance issues across the sites within the Chess Group of Companies.

The successful candidate will be based at our Head Office in Alderley Edge but will be required to travel to other Chess Group sites. The candidate will report to the Head of Business Systems.

Hours: 37½ hours per week Monday to Friday between the hours of 8am and 6pm.

Holiday Allowance: 24 days paid holiday p.a. plus public holidays

Basic Salary: £40,000 to £45,000 p.a. plus bonus dependent upon experience, reviewed annually in May of each year.

Duties to include but not limited to:

- Maintenance of existing ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 standards

- Integration of standards with the company business change process

- Conducting regular Monthly management reviews

- Identification, training and development of ISO auditing champions

- Ownership of audit tracking, maintaining and communications to the business

- Creation and development of an integrated management systems utilising available technology

- Ensuring compliance with all telecommunication and IT industry regulations

- Dealing with all queries from relevant industry regulators (i.e. Ofcom)

- Informing and training of all Chess people on compliance requirements

- Internal auditing of all processes and procedure across the group including managing other auditing activities on other sites

- Identification and management of any 3rd party consultants

- Good understanding of ISO 27001 Information Security and ISO 22301 Business Continuity

- Processing all RIPA requests from police and government bodies

Essential Qualities

- Confidentiality

- Good verbal communication skills

- Accurate and consistent attention to detail

- Proficient with Microsoft Office suite specifically Office 365, SharePoint, Visio and Project

- Resilient, able to maintain performance under pressure

- Able to work under own initiative as well as part of a team

- Good organisational skills, able to set goals and prioritise actions

- Experience in Telecoms/IT industry and/or working within a Management System

Essential Skills

- Experience in moving from 2008 ISO 9001/14001 to 2015 standards
