Our Senior Middleware Support Analyst sits within Worldpay I&O Hosting and Application Services. You will be responsible for providing middleware engineering support for a wide range of middleware products, including 3rd line BAU support for production and pre-production environments. Middleware support responsibilities include Installation, Configuration, Maintenance and Live Support of middleware services hosted on Linux and Microsoft operating systems in a highly virtualised environment and subject to strict Change Management and Service Level Agreements.

How will you add value on a day-today basis?

You will be responsible for providing technical expertise within the following technologies; IBM MQ, IBM Message Broker, ESQL, SolidDB and Java/J2EE. You will represent the Hosting & Application Services Middleware team within Worldpay Infrastructure & Operations and provide extremely high standards of service from a middleware perspective in terms of service maintenance, new capability requests, fault prevention and resolution.

3rd line support for above middleware technologies within the production and pre-production environments are a key aspect of the role. You will be responsible for providing incident fault diagnosis and resolution, escalation of critical issues, as well as ongoing evaluation and recommendation of measures to improve service delivery.

What will make you the ideal candidate?

Extensive experience working with IBM WebSphere Message Broker, WebSphere MQ, ESQL and JAVA/J2EE. You will have knowledge of IBM WebSphere Operation Decision Management (WODM), expert knowledge of implementing solutions using ESQL and experience of working in an onshore/offshore model.

You will have strong analytical skills and service management ethos, and experience with ITIL and Service Now is ideal. You will have experience of third level support for business critical production systems, and knowledge of SolidDB database and SOA design and practices will be advantageous.
