Why is our New Acquiring Platform team the next step for you?

Our New Acquiring Platform is planned to go live in April 2016 and will be the technical foundation of Worldpay's business. We are rebuilding all the systems and processes that we use to process payments for our acquiring customers - replacing them with one flexible platform that does everything we do today and allows us to respond to change in a fraction of the time of our current platform. You will be at the forefront of the transition of the platform from functional development to production system. You will be supported by the Architecture and Development teams in building over time, the intimate understanding of the new platform that will be essential for the role.

How will you add value on a day-today basis?

As the support teams are just being built, you will be instrumental in the definition and execution of the support strategy. You will be working as part of a team to seek resolution of production incidents and be accountable for the support of bespoke code using IBM WebSphere Message Broker, WebSphere MQ and ESQL language for NAP (New Acquiring Platform).

You will support the administration, performance optimisation and monitoring of IBM WebSphere Message Broker and MQ stack. You will provide all troubleshooting/defect fixing, ensuring all updates and changes are documented and retrofitted accordingly. You will be an expert in Quality Assurance - ensuring that all appropriate procedures are adhered to. And a trusted source of core bespoke development support expertise and proactively provide support and guidance to internal and external stakeholders. You will be responsible for providing support consultancy to the developers and build systems utilising IBM stack products: IBM MQ, IBM Message Broker, SolidDB and core Java to ensure that designs produced are aligned with the need to support a production, business critical platform.

What will make you the ideal candidate?

You will have extensive experience of third level support for business critical production systems, as well as experience working with WebSphere Message Broker, WebSphere MQ, ESQL and JAVA/J2EE. You will have significant breadth of technical and strategic understanding in either application, infrastructure, data or security field, and knowledge of VMware virtualisation architecture and product suite.
