What does it involve?

We offer a choice of internships to suit your interests and the requirements of your degree. Some last the summer, one lasts a whole 11 months. Each gives you scope to make a real impact.

Our Security internship lasts 12 weeks. If you're studying a computing based course and want to put those theories to real-world use, this is the summer internship for you. You’ll join a team which combats cyber-crime and threats to BT's national infrastructure through applications and systems.

Our Research and Innovation internship lasts 12 weeks. You’ll develop understanding of the future challenges facing a global company, and how your research could shape our future. And you’ll experience every opportunity to develop world-class problem solving and leadership skills.

Our Software Engineering internship lasts 11 months. It’s a chance to get involved in the complete software development life cycle at BT - from application design and development, to testing and support. You’ll develop the cutting-edge skills that will set you apart from the rest.

So what do I need?

An innovative and commercially astute individual, you embrace change. Putting customers first, you take responsibility for delivering improvement and results in all you do. Crucially, you enjoy building relationships and working with others. And you’re passionate about learning new skills. Naturally, you’ll need to demonstrate some relevant technical skills and knowledge.
