This role includes working with the consulting and technical development teams to design and implement SharePoint solutions. A key aspect of the role will be client engagement including technical pre-sales support, requirements gathering and project meetings. The role also includes the mentoring of junior team members while ensuring projects are delivered to the highest standard, on time and within budget.

This opens up the opportunity to work with our highly skilled IT project teams and further develop highly functional solutions, while meeting technical specifications.

1) Overall Purpose of Role:

The successful candidate will have a proven track record of SharePoint development, Web development and project delivery skills, coupled with strong communication skills at all levels. You must be highly motivated with a strong desire to maintain and deliver business solutions at the highest standard.

2) Requirements include, but are not limited to:

The following experience is essential for this role:

- Minimum three years’ experience developing SharePoint 2010 & 2013 solutions

- Minimum three years’ UI development experience using the following technologies: C#, ASP.NET, JavaScript, HTML5, XML/XSLT, CSS, JQuery and AngularJS

- Experience with SharePoint Designer 2010 and 2013

- Implementing solutions on Office 365 platform

- Client facing experience is essential

The following skills are essential for this role:

- Clear understanding of SharePoint Architecture

- A solid knowledge and a proven track record developing SharePoint solutions using both the Feature and App Model Frameworks

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

- Strong SQL Server knowledge

- Experience creating development documentation and user guides

- Experience delivering projects using AGILE methodologies

- Strong interpersonal skills where you will articulate complex concepts to colleagues and clients.

- Highly effective motivational and organisational skills.

3) The key responsibilities of the role are:

- Ensure solutions are robust, delivered within budget and developed following best practice

- Ensure knowledge and skillset remains current on new technology and industry trends.

- Provide mentoring to junior team members.

- Provide 3rd level support on existing SharePoint solutions- meeting SLA’s and providing an excellent service.

- May need to provide occasional out of hours working.

- Understanding of technical project delivery processes with the ability to adjust and apply this knowledge in a dynamic environment.

- Ability to work well in a cross-functional, matrix management environment with a highly collaborative, team-oriented approach to problem solving.

- Ability to prioritise tasks effectively with a high level of attention to detail.
