We are looking to recruit an Environment Manager with experience in Development, Test and SAP/non-SAP environments to join the Infrastructure Services Team. The purpose of the role is to efficiently and effectively deliver Environment Management of the Development, UAT and Pre-Production Environments by enabling both Projects and Minor Changes/Fixes to be progressed through suitably presented test landscapes, thereby reducing the likelihood of business impacting incidents when deployed to Production.

You will be working closely with the Release Manager and colleagues in networks, server & storage, data services, application support teams and Project Managers so you will be the go to person for all environment related matters.

Responsibilities of the role will include:

- Maintaining and communicating Environment Management processes and policies.

- Maintaining capacity and availability management of all Development and Test environments

- Supporting Release Managers in the provision and maintenance of all Development and Test environments in alignment with Release Plans, ensuring technical alignment of Release requirement

- Managing the provisioning and delivery of test environments to meet Release requirements and to ensure fit for purpose

- Producing and communicating a suitable dashboard and MI pack.

- Reporting environment conflicts to Release Management for resolution/decision

- Developing road maps and improvement plans for the management of environments.

- Promoting standardisation, automation and continuous improvement in alignment with company strategy.

- Engaging Technical resources as required to assist with build and configuration activity Managing any non-production environment defects or incidents

- Communicating and reporting all environment related issues and problems to the relevant stakeholders

- Working closely with Release Management to agree and plan forward demand, as per agreed Release schedule

- Manage the provisioning and delivery of test environments to meet Release requirements and to ensure fit for purpose

- Ensuring data refreshes are scheduled into Environment planning

- Decommissioning assets (with no planned requirement) in a timely manner to enable re-use

- Ensuring license adherence of all non-Production environments

The successful candidate will demonstrate:

- Previous experience in a IT project/ IT Environment Management role Essential

- Experience in project management methodologies (Prince 2/PMI) and project management tools (MSP & MS Office) is highly desirable

- The ability to manage and maintain multiple large integrated environments is desirable

- Experience of working with third party vendors offshore and onshore is desirable

- Experience of working in an environment that is a mixture of and bringing together SAP and non-SAP landscapes is desirable

- Familiar with environment usage planning, risk assessment and impact analysis.

- Sound business and technical acumen

- Strong communicator with the ability to communicate at all levels with clarity and precision both written and verbal.

- Experience with stakeholder management.

- Focused and a versatile team player comfortable under pressure.

- Strong presentation skills

- The ability to remove barriers and enable teams to achieve their objectives.

- Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills

- Experience in the use of automation tools to deploy code, manage environments and stand up virtual machines.
