They are based in the idyllic Gloucestershire village of Tortworth which is commutable from Bristol, Bath, Cheltenham and Gloucester. Since being established in 1999, they have provided high quality websites and powerful custom database systems for over 160 clients and have earned a reputation as a company that is trusted and innovative in its approach to solving customer problems.

The Role

Due to the success of the business they are looking to recruit an Experienced Web Applications Developer / Programmer.

The job role is varied and has the opportunity for growing with the business. Ideally you will have upwards of 1 years’ commercial experience.

All their work is carried out in-house and they have an enthusiastic, professional team. As a Web Applications Developer you will be involved in a range of projects including developing web applications and websites for a range of customers across multiple industries. You will work independently and within a team to ensure the smooth delivery of all projects.

Person Specification

To fulfil this role you will have the following technical skills:

- PHP with an MVC (Laravel, CodeIgniter, etc)

- SQL (with any major DBMS such as MySQL, SQL Server, Oracle, etc)

- HTML, Javascript / JQuery, CSS

- Web standards

The successful candidate should also have:

- Superior skills in coding, testing and implementation of database-centric applications.

- The ability to manage his/her own time to ensure delivery of projects in a timely fashion.

- Understanding of the software development life cycle.

- Be able to provide estimates of allocated work and meet mutually agreed timescales and deadlines.

- Ability to analyse and problem solve.

- Excellent attention to detail.

- A flexible approach and be able to cope with multiple projects at any one time.

Hours - Full-time, Monday - Friday 9am-6pm with an hour for lunch.

Salary - £25K - £35Kpa although this will be dependent on experience.

Location -Tortworth, South Gloucestershire. Due to the location, you will need your own transport.
