This opportunity is for an for a role based in Teddington, working within an Infrastructure team of 6 who are responsible for the underlying infrastructure that delivers a range of services to 1000 end users largely based at Teddington but also extending support to other UK regional areas.

We are looking for someone with a track record in a similar role providing 3rd level support, troubleshooting complex problems and developing new systems. Experience in the key areas listed is essential, in particular the emphasis on cloud technologies and hybrid environments. The role involves splitting time between the support of the infrastructure and being responsible for the delivery of new systems.

In delivering new projects, we expect you will be familiar with project management methodologies and happy to assume the responsibility of managing a project from initial scope to successful closure.Required skills:

- Supporting 100+ Windows/Linux/Solaris servers

- Upgrades and patching of server/client OS and applications

- Office 365 implementation and support including ADFS/AADC

- Unified Comms including Skype for Business & Alcatel Lucent OTMS

- Hybrid Exchange 2013 with HA/DAG and online archiving

- Administration of Active Directory and GPO maintenance

- VMware vSphere (including SRM) and Hyper-V

- Scripting technologies such as Powershell, Perl etc

- MS Azure / Amazon Web Services

The successful applicant must be able to demonstrate :

- Excellent troubleshooting skills

- Ability to quickly grasp new ideas and concepts

- Good written and verbal communication style

- Understand the need to learn about the business and engage with customers to deliver excellent customer satisfaction

- Proactive in looking for efficiencies in own area of expertise and transferring new technologies into practical business application

- Willing to share knowledge across the IT team to facilitate upskilling of less experienced staff

- Confidence presenting solutions to technical problems to colleagues

- Appreciation of the need to document and follow procedures to aid team working

- Demonstrable experience of managing the implementation of new technology, using project management skills
