This is an exciting time to join Worcestershire County Council. We have big ambitions and we are looking for our future leaders to help us to achieve them. Our aim is to create a World Class Worcestershire and if you have the talent, skills, knowledge and drive to help make this happen, then this is where you come in.

The Economy and Infrastructure Directorate has some of the highest value contracts in the Council, including: Waste Management, Highways Maintenance Services, Civil Engineering, Superfast Broadband, Street Lighting, Professional Services Contract and project specific Design and Build contracts.

As a Graduate Trainee in Commercial and Contracts (Infrastructure) you will be given the opportunity to develop your commercial experience and expertise in the procurement and management of multi-million pound infrastructure related contracts. You will gain exposure to a varied range of placements, projects, training and hands-on experience in areas such as road and rail projects, waste management, broadband and professional services, working closely with our contractors and partners.

Joining our Graduate Scheme will give you the opportunity to put everything you have learned into action. We will support you to gain the experience of applying your education and knowledge whilst developing your leadership skills in ways which will have meaningful results not only for you, but also for Worcestershire, its businesses, communities and residents too.

If you think you've got what it takes to thrive in an innovative and forward thinking organisation and have ambitions to become a potential future leader, then please get in touch. We'd love to hear from you.
