The Role:

An exciting opportunity to work in an industry leading pro audio company that is looking to expand its software development team, the successful candidate will be passionate about audio technology and thrive in being at the cutting edge.

You will be working within the R&D team to provide cloud software solutions for professional audio products. You will be interfacing with application developers and architects, infrastructure and DevOps engineers to develop interactively better cloud deployments to enhance user experience and solve real world problems.

You are expected to be skilled in cloud development and highly motivated, eager to pick up new skills as the job requires. Being a team player is paramount. You’ll be expected to produce high quality, elegant code, and to partake in regular code reviews, as both reviewer and reviewee.

Your Responsibilities:

Develop cloud software solutions utilising relational and non-relational data stores and RESTful APIs

Utilise infrastructure solutions using technologies including OpenStack and Puppet

Promote good practices and help others to improve

Provide rapid prototypes for solutions

Work to agreed timescales for production deployment

Skills and Experience:

Engineering or similar relevant degree (or equivalent qualification)

Strong demonstrable experience of full-lifecycle cloud development

Experience of deploying production code in a continuous integration environment

Excellent object oriented design skills

Skilled with Javascript, NodeJS and MongoDB or equivalent

Solid understanding of RESTful interfaces

Fluent with Git and other modern agile development tools

Excellent communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and departments within the company
