Take your research career to the next level and develop the insights that help us revolutionise the energy sector.

About the role

As a Data Scientist, you’ll be at the forefront of developing consumer insights and solving business problems. This is a data insight role with real-world impact. That means you’ll be collaborating with senior management across our teams and providing data insight that is used at the highest level.

Through a whole range of methods, you’ll find the most revealing data, ask the right questions and recommend the best solutions. This will involve all kinds of expertise - like statistical analysis, data mining and predictive modeling - and you will enjoy extensive autonomy in choosing where to focus your research efforts.

About you

You’ll already have experience of data analysis, mining and measurement. This should include advanced modelling skills - with knowledge of applications like SAS, SPSS, Business Objects and SQL - as well as a sound understanding of the system architecture within a complex retail business. You should also have a degree in relevant subject, such as mathematics or a scientific discipline.

More important than your qualifications, however, will be the personal qualities you bring. You’ll need to be a natural communicator, able to manage stakeholders from inside and outside of the business. Plus, you’ll need to be a masterful planner and organiser, able to manage timelines, resources and risks on multiple business-wide projects.
