The Role

The Restoration and Renewal Programme has been established to tackle the significant work that needs to be done to protect the heritage of the Palace of Westminster and ensure it can continue to serve as home to the UK Parliament in the 21st century and beyond.

The next phase of work is focused on achieving a decision in principle on the means of restoring and renewing the Palace of Westminster by 2016. Working alongside the Decant Planning Work-stream Leader, key stakeholders in the Parliamentary Estates Directorate (PED) and specialist consultants, you be pivotal in the management of the workstream with responsibilities for monitoring team work programmes; providing progress reports; monitoring and providing quarterly team forecasts, spend and budgets.

In addition to programme management activities, the Programme Manager will contribute to, and have an overview of, all workstream activities. These include business cases, design brief development, acquisition and disposal strategies, people impacts, internal and external stakeholder engagement.
