The role of Technical Support Analyst is pivotal to the success of these projects, as well as maintaining and improving the current portfolio of applications.

Heelis is the Central Office for the National Trust; it was named after one of the Trust’s biggest benefactors Mrs William Heelis, There are approximately 500 staff from across the Trust’s directorates, including the Executive team and the Director General, are based here. Heelis was designed to be highly sustainable and has won a number of nationally recognised awards. Designed by Feilden Clegg Bradley Architects in 2005, this architectural gem uses timber from our woodlands and wool from Herdwick sheep grazed on Trust farmlands, to help make Heelis a unique working environment.

About the role

You will be responsible for ensuring the operational support and service delivery of a Portfolio of IT Systems. You will provide IT technical and operational support on a number of key systems within the Trust. You will follow the Technical Delivery Management framework ensuring that all processes and procedures are documented, communicated and followed. You will provide input to all new projects engaging with the Project Management Framework and supporting transition into ‘live’.

About you

The successful candidate will need to demonstrate the following:

Knowledge

- Excellent knowledge of Infrastructure Support and Cloud technologies including Windows Server 2012, Active Directory, Hyper-V, Networks, AWS and Microsoft Azure.

- Good knowledge of methodologies and processes used for supporting IT Infrastructure effectively.

- Strong ITIL background and training to a minimum of v3 Foundation level.

Skills

- The ability to support complex environments with multiple parties providing services

- Working with Incident, Problem and Change Management processes

- Independent, self-starting, team player

- Excellent Problem solving capabilities

- Is proactive and shows initiative

- Must be committed to self-development and be enthusiastic about acquiring new skills and embracing new technologies.

Experience

- 3rd Line support in an Infrastructure support team

- Practical experience of IT Technical support roles

- Significant experience in the Microsoft technologies

- Experience in working with third parties in definition and implementation of standards and processes.

- Understanding of Development, Testing and Support Environments
