We’re on the look-out for a talented and experienced Architect to provide leadership in all integration aspects of the programme, so an exciting time to join!

BRIEF JOB DESCRIPTION:

As Technical Architect, you’ll be responsible for the creation of interface architecture across our Smart Metering Architecture.

RESPONSIBILITIES/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

Main Responsibilities

Creating the optimum technical solution in the context of the Smart Metering environment, requirements, and financial resources Owning the lifecycle and requirements associated with Development, Test and Live environments to balance capability and cost of the architectureEnsuring a quality system design which provides good system capacity and performance, an effective human-machine interface, optimal operational cost, and flexibility for future changeMaximizing the productivity of the project team by installing an effective development environment, establishing programming, design, and other technical standards, training team members, and providing advisory and trouble-shooting support Providing a focal point for all technical issues and initiatives on the project Ensuring that all components of the technical architecture are properly implementedAssess, Design, and Deliver an Architecture that supports High Availability and ScalabilityResponsible for Build Integrity (daily/periodical), as well as Designing standards/policies across the Application LifecycleCollaborate with Lead Solution Architects and Technical architect, Business Analysts and Design teams to ensure quality delivery

Skills and Experience

Must have a background in Applications Architecture background working for global organisations with complex structuresExperience in applying architectural tools and methodsExperience in IT communications protocols, systems integration and project deliveryIdeally experience with Mobile Radio Network communications protocolsDemonstrable experience with installing, configuring and troubleshooting enterprise softwareIdeally experience with enterprise software covering BI, OSS, Billing, and all aspects of Mobile Radio Network communications protocolsExperience in the energy / utilities space is advantageous
