How can we make our valued digital services more engaging, accessible and usable for our customers? How can we translate complex information into interactive designs that are easy for our people to use and understand? That’s where you come in as User Interface Designer. In this impactful role, you’ll be responsible for defining and designing the interface and structure of our unique digital services. As well as looking good and working brilliantly, it’s crucial that the services meet the needs of diverse users. You’ll work with colleagues and key customers to understand those needs and bring them to life, creating wireframes and using interactive design to devise user interfaces that are engaging and effective.

About you

You’ll come to this exciting role with extensive experience of designing digital service interfaces that are closely aligned with customer needs, for web and mobile. Skills wise, it’s important that you have a solid working knowledge of hand-coded HTML (including HTML5), CSS, JavaScript, rapid prototyping and standards such as GDS and WCAG. Your track record of interactive and interface design will be impressive and you’ll be great at unpacking complex workflows, creating wireframe mock-ups and delivering responsive, easy-to-navigate user experiences. Excellent communication and people skills are just as vital. You’ll need to be confident working with in an agile, diverse team to deliver iterative design components that have a clear focus on the user. Naturally innovative and keen to deliver the best solutions every time, you’ll be excited about having the opportunity to play a key role in designing digital solutions that will be used by millions of customers.
