Our colleagues are the key to our success, which is why we want the very best people as part of our team.

Taking on a business project management role, you will drive improvements to business processes across our Society, by delivering a variety of different projects within our retail stores, funeral operations and business support services. With a Prince 2 Practitioner qualification, your impressive project management experience will enable you to lead strategic and transformational projects with multiple work streams.

This wide-ranging challenge offers plenty of variety and will involve you in delivering projects through the full project life cycle. You will use agreed project methodologies to define projects and translate actions into practical project management plans. You will inspire teams and manage a number of projects at the same time, ensuring they are all delivered on time, to budget and quality, and realise the business benefits case. You will also proactively manage relationships with key stakeholders, escalating any risks and regularly reporting on project performance to the Programme Manager.

Beyond the day-to-day, your role will involve identifying skill gaps and working with our Programme Manager to plan, develop and make the most effective use of resources. As Project Manager, you will also pull together specifications, support tenders and assist with the selection of suppliers.

A talented, ambitious and experienced project manager with at least 3 years experience. You must have a good understanding of Microsoft Project and project management methodologies and approaches. Results driven and passionate about improving performance, you should also be skilled at leading people and assessing risks. A confident communicator, you will enjoy working collaboratively and building strong relationships with senior leaders as you initiate, plan, monitor, control, deliver and close all kinds of different projects.

As a Central England Co-operative colleague you will enjoy a wide range of benefits, including Society Membership, colleague discount on purchases, pension and health scheme.

At Central England Co-operative Ltd we are all individual, like you. We value your individuality and welcome applications from all members of society regardless of personal characteristics.
