Our Accenture Operations Research Programme focuses on creating business value for our clients by embedding cognitive computing, advanced analytics and new technologies like IoT, Drones, 3D printing in our cross-industry offerings like Marketing, Supply Chain, Talent HR and industry-specific offerings like Health, Network, Utilities, Credit Services.

As we create new services embedded in our offerings by leveraging machine learning, natural language processing, predictive and advanced structured and unstructured data analytics, our research group undertakes strategic projects that will disrupt and shape the future of offerings and build prototypes that demonstrate how advances in technology will change the way we do business in the next 2 to 5 years.

As a Data Scientist, you will manage work with the research lead, collaborate with business subject matter experts and technology delivery teams to deliver strategic advanced analytics research projects from design to execution. You will work through the entire lifecycle of a research project - collaborating with business experts for business understanding, supporting business value potential identification, leading research team for solutions and working with technology teams for prototyping and client pilot implementations.

Requirements:

- Ph.D. Statistics, Mathematics, Computer science, Economics and related scientific disciples

- Experience in statistical modelling, machine learning, data mining, unstructured data analytics in corporate or academic research environments

- Proficiency in statistical and other tools/languages - R, S-plus, SAS, STATA, Python

- Familiarity with relational databases and intermediate level knowledge of SQL

- Experience working with large data sets and tools like MapReduce, Hadoop, Hive a plus

- Proven background in at least one of the following - Reliability models, Markov Models, Stochastic models, Bayesian Modelling, Classification Models, Cluster Analysis, Neural Network, Non-parametric Methods, Multivariate Statistics

- Experience in any of the domains: Retail, Digital Marketing, e-Commerce, Health, Supply Chain, Banking

- Ability to work in a global collaborative team environment

- Proficient verbal and written communication skills in English
