As the role holder you will be responsible for providing Technical delivery on I& T Requirements, liaising closely with Architects and then working with business people at all levels from middle management (HEO) to G7s. It is important to be able to help and guide both architects and business people through the process and ensure the delivery strategy is understood, referencing appropriate designs as required. In addition you will be able to understand concerns expressed by business people and be able to express these concerns to architects. This is likely to occur on a regular if not daily basis.

You will be required to have good written and presentational skills, being required to present delivery plans to Project Managers, Service Management when required. Stakeholder meetings with a cross section of managers from the ARC and Governance boards are held weekly and the post holder must have the ability to answer probing and sometimes difficult questions from various sources.

There is a need to communicate with representatives across the Department and on some occasions with counterparts at other Government Departments. Likewise you will be required to interface and collaborate with senior officials and counterparts within the Supply Chain (Kainos, Sopra, IBM etc) to ensure smooth and effective delivery.
