As part of the internal development function within RPA's I&T development team you will act as a lead developer, developing and maintaining reporting / data warehouse solutions.

The role will cover:

- Development and support of reporting / data warehouse solutions using Oracle DB, Informatica and Business Objects.

- Development and support activities will encompass:

- Project Management of small IT developments

- Impact assessment of new requirements from business areas.

- Producing technical designs and data models

- Development - coding and unit testing of the application / reporting solution as specified in the design specification

- System testing - creation and execution of test plans to test the complete system

- Resolution of incident and problems reported against production systems.

- Analysing and quality checking developments prior to implementation.

- Implementation of developments to live.

- Admin of SQL end users and potentially Informatica

Person specification

The role requires proven experience in:

1. Experience and expertise using advanced features of Oracle SQL / PLSQLL, including analysing large datasets, developing ETL routines, automating and applying optimisation techniques.

2. Design and building of a reporting / data warehouse solutions including hands on experience of ETL development using Informatica Power Centre.

3. Development of Kimball based data warehouse multi dimensional / Star Schema data structures.

And some or all of the following technologies

(a) Reporting tools such as Business Objects

(b) Oracle Application Express (Apex)

(c) Informatica Admin Console

(d) MS SQL Server Management Studio, SSIS & SSRS

(e) MS Visual Studio

(f) Oracle 12c
