The Senior Solutions Designer Manager performs the role of the systems analyst / designer
The person will also act as a team lead in his / her technology field. Team sizes are typically between 4 and 6.
The role will act as the interface between business analysts and system developers translating business requirements into a set of technical requirements / technical design. This will cover taking the business requirements and:
- Defining or modifying main system functions and information flows, data load and implementation strategies, phasing of development, requirements not met, and alternatives considered.
- Specifying the user/system interfaces, including for example: menus, screen dialogues, inputs, reports, validation and error correction procedures, processing rules, access, security and audit controls, recovery routines and contingency procedures.
- Translates logical designs into physical designs taking account of target environment, performance requirements and existing systems. Produces detailed designs including for example: physical data flows, class diagrams, file layouts, common routines and utilities, program specifications or prototypes, and backup, recovery and restart procedures.
- Documenting all work using required standards, methods and tools, including prototyping tools where appropriate.
- Produces or updates system object/data models.
- Constructs, interprets and executes test plans to verify correct operation of completed systems
There are two posts available
a) Post 1 - SharePoint experience is essential
b) Post 2 - BizTalk and/or Visual Studio experience is essential.
Any knowledge of additional Microsoft technologies including Dynamics CRM is desirable
