Join the ABI in this exciting opportunity and you will be responsible for leading detailed statistical analysis on a variety of data and management information. As our Data and Analytics Adviser you will present data creatively in a way that engages the media and other stakeholders, and will provide insight, quality assurance and high quality analysis across the long term savings and insurance sector.

The Association of British Insurers is the leading trade association for insurers and providers of long term savings.Our 250 members include most household names and specialist providers who contribute £12bn in taxes and manage investments of 1.8trillion.

Key tasks and responsibilities:

Produce high quality statistical analysis on a range of data and management information, using advanced techniques in order to extract maximum value from the data.

Provide detailed commentary and insight on the key trends and findings from the data, presenting the results in a highly accessible and engaging manner.

Develop excellent insurance and long-term savings market knowledge in order to enhance the insight gleaned from the data through regular, consistent engagement with colleagues and ABI members as well as attending events, roundtables and committee meetings.

Develop positive relationships with members and data subscribers, ensuring ABI value is highlighted in each interaction.

Play a role in identifying potential new data subscribers and advising colleagues on how to use technology and analytics to leverage maximum value from ABI data and management information.

About you:

To be considered for this opportunity, you will need to be able to demonstrate strong statistical analysis skills and advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Excel. You will also have excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to spot trends in data and write fluent commentary on these trends and the potential implications. Knowledge of programming, application development and web development would be highly desirable however this is not essential.
