At the Parliamentary Digital Service we’re transforming the way Parliament does digital. We’re responsible for the complete digital strategy, from the delivery and management of all parliamentary platforms, including an entirely new website, to providing technology and intranet services to Members and their staff in both Houses of Parliament.

This includes making more and better use of agile method, governance and leadership and to create and promote an agile culture across the entire organisation.

As well as fascinating work, really engaged, passionate colleagues and valuable outcomes, we offer extraordinary variety, both in terms of role and work. Here, you’ll work across a diverse range of business areas. Our delivery portfolio is concerned with:

- Delivering digital solutions that support the improved effectiveness and efficiency of the administration of the two Houses

- Developing the technology infrastructure and business processes on which digital services rely, including telephony

- Developing and delivery of a range of services to engage with Parliaments numerous publics including a re-imagined website and robust data platform

The way we deliver ranges from exciting in-house developed bespoke software to procuring third-party solutions.

As a Business Analyst, you’ll collaborate widely to drive successful change, process improvement, data usage and quality digital products. Your analysis will inform the design of engaging digital services and optimised business processes. You’ll work on everything from a new framework of apps and services for MPs, to a strategy for delivering HR, Payroll and Finance services. You’ll collaborate to deliver a range of building and facilities management services, or embed and optimise the use of 365 products. You’ll complete an options analysis to relocate parliamentary archives and help them broaden their reach through modern technology.

A logical, lateral and creative thinker, you have a successful track record in the delivery of significant or complex technology implementations. Your experience spans areas such as cloud adoption, networking, data centre, application migration and re-platforming projects. Knowledge and experience of modern, agile methodologies is essential. We’ll also expect you to be familiar with public sector procurement and working with third party suppliers. Committed to working in iterative, flexible, collaborative and responsive ways, you are an excellent relationship builder.
