I am currently working on behalf of a well-established client who has a fantastic opportunity for a Commissioning Engineer to join their team in the North East.

Due to an increased workload, my client's looking to expand their engineering team. As a result they're offering a brilliant opportunity for long term work.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Reporting directly into the Commissioning Director, the successful Commissioning Engineer will take the lead role on assigned commissioning projects including, primary, secondary and peripheral plant. You will be responsible for ensuring the plant is functionally operational and fit to be connected to the electricity network, rectifying any faults, fault investigations and diagnostics at various voltages. The successful Commissioning Engineer should be comfortable with the responsibility of leading and training assistant commissioning engineers.

Key Skills & Experience:

* Be TP141 National Grid accredited

* Experience of working at voltages of up to 400kV in electricity substations

* Be trained on main suppliers Transmission and Distribution equipment (e.g. ABB, Alstom, Siemens)

* HNC/HND/Degree in Electrical Engineering or related subject

* The ability to work UK wide

* National Grid Competent Person

* BESC

* Safety Passport Card or equivalent
