Transforming Parliament’s Infrastructure

At the Parliamentary Digital Service, we’re transforming the way Parliament does digital. We’re responsible for the complete digital strategy, from the delivery and management of all parliamentary platforms to provisioning and supporting technology products and services to Members and their staff in both Houses of Parliament.

There has never been a more exciting time to join us. With a huge agenda for change, we’re completely reconceiving how we work and how we collaborate with our users and our business partners. This includes making more and better use of agile methods, governance and leadership and to create and promote an agile culture across the entire organization.

As part of our current Project Management recruitment), we are also now recruiting for 2 Senior Technical Project Managers to join an exciting programme to transition our core infrastructure to support a modern and digital Parliament. They are both fixed-term roles although there is a possibility that we’ll ask you to stay on permanently. We are looking for people with a successful track record in the delivery of significant or complex technology implementations. As you’ll be transforming Parliament’s core technology and infrastructure, we need you to talk - and understand - the tech too. Your experience will include areas such as cloud adoption, networking, data centre, application migration and re-platforming projects.

Knowledge and experience of modern, agile methodologies is essential. We’ll also expect you to be familiar with public sector procurement and working with third party suppliers. Committed to working in iterative, flexible, collaborative and responsive ways, you are an excellent relationship builder.

We’re an open, transparent and collaborative team at the heart of Westminster, who work innovatively and flexibly to facilitate a work/life balance. We pride ourselves in building people’s careers, investing in them and providing good opportunities for career progression.
