Working for us

As one of the leading offshore drillers, Seadrill with its modern fleet aims to set standards in offshore drilling.

Seadrill relies on its IT to keep its operations safe, efficient and reliable, it's supply chain agile and its shared services streamlined.

Our IT team is home to some of the greatest talent in the North West. And we’re innovating at pace. While many organisations are still talking about it, we’ve successfully adopted a hybrid public and private cloud infrastructure. We’ve integrated our communication and collaboration technology. And we’re embarking on a comprehensive intelligence programme, unlocking business-changing insights from our global database. So you’ll be joining us at a very exciting time. What’s more you’ll be rewarded with an attractive salary and competitive benefits. And just as importantly, you’ll be challenged yet well-supported, with world-class training and development.

The role

You’ll develop and govern the enterprise architecture across the organisation. Defining the EA review process will be a key responsibility, integrating with related business and IT processes and involving Global Process Owners and IS Business Analysts. At the same time you’ll ensure all activities meet internal and external requirements, as directed by IS Management. You’ll use all the tools and technology at your disposal to ensure we manage change efficiently. And above all, you’ll ensure we get results: managing politics and finance, and balancing innovation with cost.

You

You’re an influential, unflappable leader and team player. Focused on business outcomes, you have a track record of great results. And you have at least seven years experience in global, multi-tier IT disciplines, or five in business strategy / analysis, preferably in Oil and Gas.

During your career, you’ll have been exposed to a range of technologies and processing environments, where you’ve acquired a good understanding of holistic enterprise architecture and business re-engineering, as well as financial models and budgeting. In terms of education, you have an undergraduate degree within a technical discipline, or equivalent. However, in lieu of this, relevant Oil and Gas experience may be considered. Ideally, you’ll also be PMP or Prince2 and ITIL Foundation certified.
