Working for us

As one of the leading offshore drillers, Seadrill with its modern fleet aims to set standards in offshore drilling.

Seadrill relies on its IT to keep its operations safe, efficient and reliable, it's supply chain agile and its shared services streamlined.

Our IT team is home to some of the greatest talent in the North West. And we’re innovating at pace. While many organisations are still talking about it, we’ve successfully adopted a hybrid public and private cloud infrastructure. We’ve integrated our communication and collaboration technology. And we’re embarking on a comprehensive intelligence programme, unlocking business-changing insights from our global database. So you’ll be joining us at a very exciting time. What’s more you’ll be rewarded with an attractive salary and competitive benefits. And just as importantly, you’ll be challenged yet well-supported, with world-class training and development.

The role

You’ll be the technical point of contact for Release and Change Management with internal ISIT teams and outsource providers. You’ll provide expertise to the Strategy and Architecture and Program Management Teams.

And to maintain the value of the service portfolio, you’ll deliver agreed solutions in compliance with IS strategies and processes. Ensuring the stability of the IT production environment will be another key task, alongside continuous improvement within IS. And you’ll input into the IS Budget and IS Technology Refresh Roadmap.

You

You’re passionate about results, and tackling demanding objectives. What’s more you have a good knowledge of application and infrastructure release and change management. You’ve worked in a large, diverse, globally outsourced application environment, overseen operational management processes and have excellent knowledge of ITIL Service Operations and Service Delivery.

Implementing or operating IFS applications and environments, you have three or more years of IS experience, preferably in Oil and Gas. And as a skilled project manager and communicator, you network well across functions, with vendors, and work well remotely. PMP or Prince2 Certification and ITIL Foundation or higher certification are desired. You also have an undergraduate degree within a technical discipline, or equivalent. However, in lieu of this, relevant Oil and Gas experience may be considered.
