Your skills can help us make an even bigger impact

Do you have a passion for software implementation and love interacting with people? We are looking for a unique individual who can help our people change the way they use a variety of software solutions now and in the future.

Connect Housing helps thousands of people every day, by providing decent, affordable homes as well as a range of support services. Do you want to be part of a fairer society, where people’s homes, health and happiness matter? We do. And we’re working towards making this a reality for all our tenants. This is a Software Support Analyst role with a difference. One where you can help contribute towards the greater good as you help our teams deliver on our promises. In return, we’ll look after you too - with great benefits including flexible working, 31 days’ holiday and a supportive, friendly culture.

About the role

As part of our unique organisation, you’ll help us make the most of the systems we use. In practice, that means working with people at a range of levels, across all departments. Able to translate technobabble into simple English, you’ll demonstrate how technology can make their jobs easier. Understanding their current day-to-day processes will be key, so you can suggest new solutions and can configure existing software to deliver better ways of working. It will be important to engage managers too. They may need systems configured to run specific reports and it will be down to you to create working patterns that will produce the end results that everyone is looking for.

Training will be a big part of your role, which is why you’ll need those excellent people skills. You’ll also create training manuals for end users, so best practice can be followed. Acting as the link between IT and internal/external project managers, you’ll help the IT team achieve their wider objectives through your outstanding integrations. Do this role right and you will be key in driving cross-working across the organisation as a whole. You’ll touch all departments and will naturally find ways of joining the .s more efficiently.

If you like getting out and about across West Yorkshire (especially Leeds), this is the role for you. Don’t worry if you are based further afield, as our flexible working approach will allow you to occasionally work from home. We want you to have a good work life balance after all.

About you

In essence, you’ll be our technical lead for software change management and deployment. So you’ll need experience in a similar role, where you’ve implemented software solutions and supported a range of business systems (front and back office). Your all-round technical knowledge should cover Microsoft Server architecture. With this expertise plus clear communication, you’ll be able to train individuals and groups. If you’re great in a team, but don’t feel you can tick every box, we’d still love to hear from you. At Connect Housing getting the right person is as important to us as their exact skills and we offer fantastic training.
