We are looking for a highly skilled and enthusiastic Senior Developer with a proven track record in delivering data warehouse solutions utilising the Microsoft SQL Server toolkit.

You will be responsible for the design, development and testing of NHS data processing and datasets within a MS SQL Server Data Warehouse environment. As a vital member of the Data Management Services team the successful candidate will be a key part of the overall governance of the data warehouse and will be a subject matter expert for the department.

The main roles and responsibilities

- Design, code and unit testing of SQL, SSIS and SSAS packages

- Responsible for Data Architecture principles and practices

- Adhere to internal coding standards

- Adhere to relevant source control standards

- Adhere to data quality standards

- Development of applications including functional and non-functional requirements

- Assist in the planning and development and deployment of systems and services

- Leading and mentoring others

The main skills and experience (essential):

- SQL Server (2008 R2, 2012, 2014)

- Data warehouse methodologies

- BI development utilising MS SQL Server Toolkit (SSIS, SSAS)

- MS Office

Highly desirable skills and experience but not essential:

- NHS Experience

- Knowledge of NHS data sets

- Knowledge of NHS information governance policy

- Operating Systems

- PRINCE2 and/or Agile (SCRUM)
