Dotmailer is currently migrating systems into a number of geographically separated windows failover clustered in Azure. AlwaysOn will be the primary method for HA and DR. Environments currently run on SQL Server 2012 Enterprise edition in distinct geographical locations, contain numerous VLDBs processing ~ 1.5K batches per second with tables in excess of 12 billion records. Migrations to SQL 2016 will be undertaken in 2016/2017.

The Role:

The successful candidate will work with an experienced SQL Server DBA Team in a MS Azure environment and aid in the development of highly scalable architecture with very large data sets.

Your primary responsibility will be to manage existing systems and work alongside development teams in the design and deployment of scalable enterprise solutions running on SQL Server. Refactoring existing systems to improve scalability will also be a key focus along with monitoring/tuning of production systems.

3-5 years working as a SQL Server DBA

SQL 2012+.

T-SQL

Database Design

Tuning

Refactoring

Partitioning

SQL server HA & DR

Windows failover clusters

Mentoring or people management exposure
