Working in our Infrastructure Platform Services team means you’ll be helping to design and support some of the key services that underpin our global business. Whether it is looking at new technologies or simplifying and driving additional value from those in place, you’ll be constantly challenged for new ideas.
The role
The role is wide and varied covering technologies such as Cisco networking, Aruba wireless, firewalls, load balancers and more. Expect to be considering multiple systems and vendors as you manage problem tickets from diagnosis through to resolution. Use your broad knowledge of other components in the infrastructure landscape to help design new solutions. Understanding the needs of the business and how they vary in different regions is key as you’ll be helping to support both corporate and retail solutions. Many of these solutions cover multiple geographies so you may also need to provide out of hours support as part of an on-call team.
About you
With a focus on networking but a broad understanding of the rest of the infrastructure landscape, you’ll
need strong troubleshooting skills to help solve network issues and perform root cause analysis.
Great communication skills are vital as you’ll need to work not only with our colleagues around the world, but with multiple third parties that help us. You need to be confident producing and maintaining documentation which is key in helping our support teams around the world work together. You should also be used to working within an ITIL framework in a large organization. At times you’ll also need to be flexible with working hours to help support implementations outside of business hours.
Life with us
Every 60 seconds, 105 pairs of Clarks shoes are sold globally. That makes us a £1.6 billion business and a truly worldwide brand. We now have some 15,000 employees across 75 different countries - everywhere from Europe to the Americas. Despite being the world’s biggest everyday footwear brand (by sale volume), we’re still owned by the Clarks family and based in Street, Somerset - where the Clarks business began. Street is the nerve centre of our business, driving growth and the whole Clarks success story.
The benefits
As well as development opportunities, pension and a competitive salary, you’ll also enjoy a variety of benefits. These range from 25 days’ holiday (plus bank holidays) to discounted healthcare. And, as everyone loves new shoes, you’ll also get a very healthy discount on our products.
We love hearing from great people
