This is a critical development leadership role, driving continuously improved technical product development and delivery for a dynamic and growing business. Reporting to the Product & Technology Director the Development & Delivery Manager has lifecycle ownership of all development activities, resources, and the software delivery project management.

Delivering customer systems to some of the most challenging environments, this is an exciting opportunity to work at the heart of a challenging provider of mission critical, integrated, end to end security and surveillance solutions.

The role:

- Own, manage the development teams to deliver a clear ‘right first time’ product and project development delivery culture. Identify future trends, and develop the resource capability to meet present and evolving customer needs.

- Provide strong leadership across the full development lifecycle, working with development programme manager, and product managers to manage the delivery resource ‘mix’ ensuring efficient use of domestic & European teams.

- Drive and deliver pragmatic, governance, structures and development disciplines, including the adoption of effective forecasting, estimating and productivity across the entire development function.

The person:

- A commercial, impactful manager with demonstrable experience managing commercial software & product development / release.

- Advanced communication skills will ensure you operate as an invaluable link between product development & project delivery teams. You will strive to deliver high quality, well prioritised product delivery, with a relentless focus upon continuous improvement.

- An experienced team manager with strong influencing & leadership skills as well as a clear commitment to quality & excellence. Proactive by nature you will seek out opportunities to improve, add value through well-disciplined project management and innovation.
