This is an opportunity to join a dynamic, rapidly-growing plc based in Bracknell, Berkshire with a market-leading position in the provision of automated telephone, mobile web, SMS, social media and electronic enquiry services. They are looking for an outstanding hands-on IT, Development and Telecoms Manager with excellent all-round technical skills to help drive and benefit from their growth.
You will:
- Have a knowledgeable approach to the design and development of new self-service applications and have a sound understanding of the latest mobile-focused voice, IVR, Apps, chatbots and social media opportunities
- Evolve existing software system applications and architecture working with in-house and outsourced developers
- Provide an agile software and telephony development plan that meets the future needs of their clients and markets
- Be responsible for the company's IT infrastructure, website and the management of third party suppliers. A handover period will ensure you are provided with all the necessary information and support
- Manage a small team and provide monitoring, leadership and guidance to coach, motivate, and lead team members to their optimum performance levels and career development
Concurrent with their growth, you will have the vision and ability to develop into a more senior corporate role.
The ideal candidate will have most of the following:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- Superior technical aptitude with at least 2 years experience in a senior development and / or IT management role
- Strong understanding of the software development cycle
- Strong leadership, project management, time management and problem solving skills
- Good understanding of / experience with PHP, Apache, MySQL, Linux, Windows, data integration, reporting software e.g. SAP / Business Objects and Telecoms including IVR, VOIP, SIP,
- Excellent command of verbal and written English.
- Self-motivation with an agile approach to delivering rapid results
- Good organisational, communication and reporting skills and the ability to deal effectively with people at all levels and in different situations.
- Proven ability to operate in pressure situations, successfully handling multiple competing priorities whilst displaying calmness, flexibility and professionalism
They will expect you to go the extra mile, but they will also make sure you're well rewarded. The initial salary will be £45,000 to £50,000 plus a range of benefits depending on experience and skill-set.
