About the role
Our Technology Solutions team is currently seeking an analyst / web developer to create, customise and maintain online reporting solutions in support of research conducted for our clients.
The successful candidate would either be 1) an analyst with good technical skills who is looking to build and advance their front-end skills or 2) a front-end developer looking for the opportunity to work more closely with users (researchers and clients) to understand requirements and advise on most suitable reporting solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Gather reporting requirements from researchers and their clients
- To create template reporting tools using Orchard framework
- To customise or develop reporting widgets using Javascript, Jquery, HTML and CSS
- To mentor and assist other team members in customising reporting widgets
- Be responsible for contributing to multiple projects simultaneously
- Adhere to strict procedures in quality assurance
- Manage change on projects and estimate cost
- Ensure reporting is delivered on time and within budget
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2+ years’ experience in a relevant position
- Degree in a numerate subject or computer science with good academic qualifications
- Attention to detail and high capability to work on different projects in parallel
- Previous experience in data analysis with the ability to understand and interpret data
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Experience in programming (Javascript, Jquery, HTML and CSS)
- Ability to learn and use online charting visualization tools such as Highcharts and D3
