PRIMARY OBJECTIVES & FUNCTIONS:

1. Leading the company regional Network Delivery project team.

2. Ensuring delivered projects meet the requirements and satisfaction of the Saudi Arabian Customer and the UK Ministry of Defence (MOD) customers.

3. Fully accountable for the effective planning and management of allocated resources to ensure the Company’s annual orders and sales targets.

SUMMARY OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The post-holder is a key regional interface to the Company’s customer community for all activities relating to the effective implementation of a state-of-the-art, fixed secure nationwide telecommunications capability.

The post-holder has the following responsibilities:

1. Ensure efficient use of Company resources to deliver:

- Projects in line with customers key user requirements.

- Continuous and high level of Customer satisfaction through appropriate delivery management practices;

- Low risk Delivery of Projects.

2. Fully accountable for the regional Network Delivery project team resource management via a matrix based Company organizational structure.

3. Creation of co-operative working relationships with the UK MOD team and sub-contractors to ensure projects are delivered to Cost, Time and Performance.

4. Develop and maintain best practice methodologies and procedures for the effective delivery of through life projects.

5. Assist in defining the implementing policy.

6. Deputise for the Programme Manager as required.

CONTACT WITH OTHERS (Internal / External / Meetings):

The post-holder is an important representational role for the Company and will be expected to manage effective business relationships with a wide stakeholder group including senior officers from the Saudi customer and the UK MOD, together with major international suppliers and sub-contractors. The post holder will have to ensure that the project resources perform consistently and in line with common objectives.

JUDGEMENT/DECISION MAKING AUTHORITY (Specific Responsibilities):

Empowered to commit the company within appropriate delegated financial limits.

RECRUITMENT SPECIFICATION (Knowledge & Experience):

ESSENTIAL

1. Bachelors Degree or equivalent in an engineering or other appropriate discipline.

2. Association of Project Managers Professional Qualification (APMP) or similar.

3. Significant experience in telecommunications services industry.

4. Proven track record of delivering successful IT based and other forms of Communications capability Projects in line with appropriate business and engineering governance.

5. Sound understanding of Project management and commercial practice.

6. Expert Customer Relationship Manager.

7. Sound knowledge and experience of managing budgets.

8. High standard of written and spoken English.

DESIRABLE

9. ITIL Intermediate Level qualification or similar.

10. Post-graduate qualification, such as MBA or MSc. Telecommunications / Engineering.

11. Business / acquisition experience in the United Kingdom Defence sector.

12. Experience of living or working in the Middle East.
