Help us catch criminals with better digital resources

We’re improving the way we deliver forensic services, so investigations can happen faster. As part of this, we’re expanding our team and recruiting a Senior Digital Forensic Specialist. It’s your chance to take on an important role, where you’ll help to bring criminals to justice through first-class technical resources.

Working in our sophisticated laboratory, you’ll be the technical lead in a team of Forensic Computer Analysts. You’ll work to bring the lab up to ISO 17025 standards, introducing initiatives to improve processes. You’ll also see that the laboratory provides investigations with maximum support, making sure it’s fit to cope with current and future technologies. Meanwhile, you’ll manage and motivate your team, developing their skills as well as our systems.

In this diverse working environment, you never know what the next challenge will be. It’s a varied role where you’ll get to build your skills by moving between forensic departments. To be considered, you must be a Forensic Technician. Alternatively, you may have worked in a Digital Forensics crime unit. Either way, you’ll have experience of managing and developing Computer labs, plus a firm grasp of rules regarding evidence usage. If you’re also adept at solving problems, working with others and explaining technical matters, you could help make London safer.

To apply, please click the APPLY button to visit our website to download a role specific information pack and application form.

Completed applications must be returned by 30th September 2016.

Please note we are only able to review the first 50 applications received.

We view diversity as fundamental to our success. To tackle today’s complex policing challenges, we need a workforce made up from all of London’s communities. Applications from across the community are therefore essential.
