Now we’re looking for exceptional data specialists to shape the future. This is an unparalleled opportunity to develop new data standards and techniques for delivery, and to drive their adoption across one of the most high profile Government departments.

As Senior Data Architect, you’ll be instrumental to building our data strategy and developing data policy. You’ll help to set strategic direction for HMRC’s storage, management, governance and exploitation of data. Working closely with our Chief Data Architect, you’ll develop our data architecture and associated products, including the enterprise data model and a suite of standards. Senior individuals across HMRC will rely on your expertise. We will expect you to influence them in adopting best data practice, principles and standards across a host of programmes and platforms.

To be equal to this challenge at the cutting edge of Government’s Big Data ambition, you’ll need a proven track record of large scale database delivery in industry. You’ll bring the expertise to inform approaches to everything from optimised data acquisition, to maintaining data quality and operating a data mastering capability. Key to your success will be a flair for developing and managing stakeholder relationships. You must have what it takes to help people see new possibilities offered by data, and to appreciate the value of adhering to an enterprise data architecture.
