Tester / Junior Test Automation Engineer (Agile Java / JavaScript). Award winning, City based financial software house that provide a range of web based trading and single-dealer platforms is seeking a bright, highly motivated Tester.

Joining an Agile development as a Tester / Junior Test Automation Engineer you will help ensure the quality of their software that enables its customers to build high-performance web trading applications and to deliver real-time information, including live prices, securely and reliably to those applications.

Reporting to the QA Manager you will be responsible for developing automated test cases and test frameworks for new functionality. This will include functional and non-functional testing using a variety of Open Source tools and libraries (e.g. JUnit, Jasmine, Karma, JMock, WebDriver, JBehave); you'll collaborate with UX Designers and Product Owners to define, implement and unit, acceptance, integration and performance tests. You'll also perform manual and exploratory testing to effectively identify issues and gaps in automated regression test cases.

Requirements:

*Experience as a software tester / developer in test with a good appreciation of test automation

*Able to code with Java and / or JavaScript (C / C++ or Python scripting also advantageous)

*Passionate about code quality and advocate of clean code principles

*Excellent analysis and problem solving skills with meticulous attention to detail

*Confident communicator, collaborative team member with great interpersonal skills
