.NET Web Developer (C#)

We are currently looking for a friendly, organised developer to join our expanding and enthusiastic Development Team. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years’ experience with n-tier development in C# .NET 3.5 and extensive experience of Content Management Systems.

The candidate will be able to provide examples of ASP.NET sites they have developed and to explain the rationale behind architectural decisions and display experience of web site deployment using Windows Server 2008 / 2012

Experience of creating and maintaining databases in Microsoft SQL Server (2005 or above) is a must, along with a working knowledge of stored procedures.  Confidence in producing clean, accessible HTML and CSS whilst harnessing other technologies where applicable (e.g. jQuery, Web APIs etc) is an essential element to the continued production of exciting, usable web projects at h2o.

Although a relevant degree-level qualification will be an advantage, actual industry work experience, preferably in a marketing agency or new media company, will be of greater benefit to a candidate’s application.

Client-facing experience is also a must, with good communication skills needed especially when discussing technical issues with non-technical customers. In return the right candidate will be rewarded with a growing, good-humoured team full of people who both enjoy and excel at what they do.
