**Great 6-12 Month Fixed Term Employed Contract opportunity**

Are you a strong leader of people with an understanding of both operational and strategic change initiatives in the Financial Services industry? Operating across the breadth of the business and the portfolio this opportunity plays an important role in influencing the success of the change portfolio at Phoenix.

The role: This is a leadership role within Change, supporting the successful delivery of the whole portfolio. You will be identifying risks, issues and dependencies across the portfolio, as well as resolving conflicts and constructively steering senior stakeholders to successful outcomes. As owner of the Project Support community, you will provide appropriate support across the portfolio, as well as owning and driving the Framework Standards. You will be managing a large high-performing team who will require leading, mentoring and coaching. The portfolio is very fluid with new initiatives and small change emerging all the time, as well as projects constantly changing pace. This means that you will need to be adaptive and flexible to react to a regular changing picture, as well as experienced and forward thinking enough to help deliver successful change.

What we’re looking for:

-Strong communication and influencing skills to steer more complex discussions to a successful outcome.

-Relationship building and management skills up to PMB level and including external stakeholders.

-Strategic thinker with the ability to understand the needs of differing business units, not just Operations.

-A proven people manager with significant experience of working in a leadership role within an operational or change environment. You must be able to demonstrate managing multiple direct reports and large teams, along with experience of mentoring and coaching.

-You should be able to lead and inspire ambitious and high performing individuals.

-Experience of running or supporting projects/programmes/portfolios from inception to close down.

-Proven successful project management, planning and organising experience based on project management methodologies and frameworks.

-You will also have the skills to own and drive through local initiatives within the change team from the team’s annual business plan.
