About the Team:

The UK Digital Commerce team is one of the key pillars within Digital UK covering propositions such as Advertising (Weve), O2 Wifi, Payments, Messaging and Insights.

Weve is the mobile advertising business within O2 delivering agencies and brands access to premium verified first data (best in market) and enabling customer engagement via text messaging and display advertising. Weve is one of the market leading mobile companies selling SMS/MMS, display advertising and more recently through data only programmatic solutions.

Our business is primarily a direct sales process through key media agencies and some client direct sales but also starting to move into the programmatic mobile ad space. We are also looking at ways in which we can expand into the data only insight space and how we can monetise this through clients and agencies.

Your Role:

As Agency Group Head you’ll be responsible for running the sales team across your patch. This will include managing and motivating the team but also driving the external senior relationships across your area from Agency Director, Head of Trading and into some of the senior management.

Internally you’ll be responsible for building the sales strategy for the team, drive the man marking approach for their agency patch and deliver the revenue. Within this forecast, pipeline and pitching are key factors as well as creating the right sales atmosphere within their group and across the floor. In this role you’ll be expected to really drive collaboration with other teams and get the best out of other functions across the business, such as Account Management, Delivery, Operations and Marketing.

The primary driver of the business area will be direct revenue (booked through IO) however increasingly the GH will need to help drive the programmatic growth of the group.

As a member of my direct team they take a senior management role in the business. This person will help drive and shape the whole Weve business and carry responsibility for helping to set the tone for the business.

Responsibilities

-Commercial Responsibility for the Agency Patch: Running the revenue for the business, with a focus on revenue growth across all revenue lines in the business (IO through to supporting programmatic)

-External Excellence and Thought Leadership: Driving excellent customer engagement through the agency communities, high level contacts and ability to open doors for 121 senior meetings as well as external speaking at events.

-Internal Management and Leadership: Managing the agency group, lead by example and drive success

-Trading Support: Supporting trading deals and manage key agency traders

-Programmatic Support: Driving programmatic integrations with trading desks

Skills and Experience:

-External Contacts: Extensive external contacts across the industry

-External Speaking Experience: Representing Weve in the industry as a key figure head, external experience is key

-Internal Stakeholder Management: The ability to manage people and processes to deliver the best output

-Problem Solving: In a challenging digital market the ability to look outside the box and form the clear strategy to win in this market is key

-Strategic Growth: Experience of strategic thinking to solve issues and create commercial opportunities is key

-Line Management experience: experience leading and coaching teams
