DIO is part of the Ministry of Defence (MOD). We play a vital role in supporting Defence by leading and managing the delivery of what the Armed Forces need to live, work, train and deploy on operations. The Chief Information Office (CIO) department within DIO is currently looking for an Application Support to work within the Delivery and Operations Team. The post holder will provide second line support to users of the DIO Infrastructure Management System (IMS) and retained DIO applications. The IMS is an enterprise-wide solution automating and standardising processes and providing critical data for DIO to deliver its outputs and is therefore a critical tool Corporately and at an individual level in performing day-to-day activities.

Main duties of the role include:

-Support maintenance of DIO application hardware (IMS & retained).

-Support the installation, configuration and maintenance of DIO application software (IMS & retained).

-Support the installation & testing of application software updates and security patches.

-Support the user & group management for DIO applications.

-Support the investigation & resolution of DIO application incidents to agreed SLA targets.

-Support the delivery of major releases for DIO applications (Including build, test & deploy).

-Support the delivery of application change requests for DIO applications (Including build, test & deploy).

-Support the data extract, transform, and load from external systems and other internal systems to DIO Systems.

-Ensure data quality is maintained across all DIO systems.
