Our client is an innovative technology firm which delivers software on a wide range of solutions, primarily in the financial services industry, aimed at helping clients expand their businesses swiftly and cost effectively. They have particular expertise in the insurance industry and the company now has operations in the UK, USA, Eastern Europe and South Africa.

As a Business Analyst / Project Manager, you will be part of a fast paced and vibrant technology firm. You will be given the opportunity to shape ideas and run projects to deliver technology that disrupts the market and makes real improvements to the way a business operates.

You will be exposed to all parts of the insurance lifecycle as we create new products, enhance existing offerings and release these to the local market, with a view of expanding beyond the shores of the UK in the near future.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Business Analyst / Project Manager

-Lead streams of work, monitoring progress and reporting on risks and issues affecting delivery.

-Manage client engagements, relationships and delivery expectations.

-Build and maintain collaborative relationships with staff at all levels, across all business partners.

-Work closely with internal team and business partners to identify and maximise opportunities.

-Elicit, validate and consolidate the business requirements

-Design and document processes / workflows and make appropriate recommendations

-Review, analyse and create detailed documentation of business systems and user needs, including use cases, user journeys, workflows, wireframes, requirement specifications and functional specifications

-Support dedicated test teams in quality assurance according to spec, ensuring acceptance criteria are well documented and met.

-Where necessary, review technical documents with project staff to ensure business requirements are adequately reflected in technical designs.

EXPERIENCE

-At least 3 years of proven business analysis experience, working closely with business and IT stakeholders to transform business processes, drive efficiency and deliver robust solutions.

-Experience in managing small to medium sized projects, following a structured approach, including risk and issue management.

-Experience across the full project life cycle.

-Experience in an Agile environment would be beneficial.

-Knowledge and experience of the insurance industry would be beneficial (but not mandatory).

-Good analytical skills

-Proven track record of creative and innovative solutions to problems.

-An effective facilitator with the ability to stimulate discussion and capture business needs

-Experience of working across multiple projects at any point in time.

-Strong communication, facilitation and presentation skills.

-Ability to understand trends within the technical and user experience arena to support solution designs.

-Experience working with offshore development teams would be beneficial.

-Good knowledge of MS Visio essential

-Good standard of English - both spoken and written
