These are exciting times at Sainsbury’s. We’re setting off on a two year journey of major change and improvement. As we make our transformation, you’ll be a constant source of robust and reliable people data. You’ll help to ensure we continue to recruit and support brilliant people, who share our passion for helping customers to live well for less.

This might be a fixed term role for our 24 month change programme, but the scope to make an impact on our HR department is as big as you want to make it. You’ll support a wide range of people by providing vital management information - from HR Services, to Finance, to our external recruitment agency, who need to know how many people we need, and what skills they’ll have to bring. By doing a great job, you’ll help others to do their jobs well too.

And you won’t stand still. As well as delivering various established reports that help us keep the business moving forwards day by day, you’ll enjoy the opportunity to build and design whole new reports from the ground up. Taking pride in 100% accuracy and customer-friendly formats, you’ll impress a lot of people. What’s more, the information you provide will inform decisions right up to board level.

Your analysis will provide commentary on everything from changes and comparisons, to patterns and trends, predictions and impacts. You’ll manage a range of projects from design through to delivery, including database solutions, report re-engineering and user acceptance testing. In fact, the user will always be at the heart of everything you do. Collaborating closely with customers to understand their needs, you’ll seek to go above and beyond.

You might join us with similar experience, or perhaps you’ve got the skills but you’re just starting out. Either way, we will support you to learn, grow and be the best you can be. To join the team, you’ll need experience of using Excel and Access, plus a programming language such as Microsoft VBA. Comfortable with change and confident working independently in a fast paced environment, you’re full of creative ideas and happy thinking on your feet. Crucially, you’re collaborative and committed to making a difference for others.

At this time of change, there’s one thing you can be sure of. In the next two years, you can really make your mark. Ready to get started?
