To be a great Senior Project Manager/Project Director at AstraZeneca, you will have significant experience in one or more areas of capital project delivery leading the project delivery process for large or complex engineering projects or multiple projects within a project programme across territories.

You will have responsibility for leading a single global project/programme up to $150M or portfolio of global projects up to $250M, with a core project team of up to 20 staff and on-site workforce of up to 500 operatives.

You will be a highly effective coach and leader to a project team, and expected to operate as a mentor to at least 1 junior member of staff per year.

You will support prefunding package development undertaken by the Front- End Process and Technology group to ensure that concept design solutions are capable of implementation within defined performance parameters

Part of your role will be to select and define goals and set and manage performance standards for a multi-functional team able to deliver projects or programmes to time, cost and quality standards.

You will be responsible for defining and executing a sourcing strategy for projects or programmes, including negotiation, appointment, control and integration of multiple vendors and internal partners.

Ensuring compliance with engineering, safety and work standards and associated procedures, to ensure the assets meet business needs and satisfy external regulators.

As Senior Project Manager/Project Director you will provide oversight of delivery performance and report to stakeholders on project progress including scope, schedule, budget, SHE and regulatory compliance. You will also act as single point of accountability for internal stakeholders and partners.

Within this role, you may be required to travel and work at any place in or outside of the UK. There may also be a requirement to relocate on a temporary basis for the duration of a project.

Essential Skills:

-Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience

-Professional engineering status

-Extensive project management experience leading Pharma or Bio projects up to $100m from concept to validation

-Full and detailed knowledge of relevant safety, health & environment legislation

-Global experience and mobility
